Solos/Duos/Trios

Dancers working on their own solo/duo/trio need to provide Tami with the following information as soon as possible (email or written) in order for us to keep track of all the potential pieces that could be performed.

(If you use a choreographer other than a Dance Connection faculty member, please provide a note from the choreographer giving their permission to let you use their choreographer under Dance Connection’s name. Out of respect to fellow choreographers, we just want to make sure we get their approval and also give them credit when necessary.)

A final (edited) copy of your music must be turned in as soon as it is available. Tami will make “official competition” copies of the music.

Attendance at Conventions/Competitions not on the Regular Season Schedule

Many dancers may want to attend conventions/competitions above and beyond those that are on the PC schedule for the year. We encourage all dancers to attend whichever ones that do not interfere with the PC schedule. Please follow the procedures below:
Send Tami an email indicating all conventions/competitions you plan to attend (this must be done no later than six weeks before the competition in order to properly process the paperwork on time.
If there is a limit to the number of solos that may be performed at a particular convention/competition, it will be up to the discretion of Dance Connection to decide who may perform. We want to give as many dancers the opportunity to perform. Most competition-only venues will allow multiple solos to be performed although you should read all rules and regulations of a particular competition so you are aware of their policies. Please refer to the “Bay Area Competitions” and check their websites for details however ALL registration must be done through Dance Connection. Please note that you will not be registered for a competition if you have not submitted the proper information to Tami (regardless if we have received payment).
